About the role:
SIMBA Telecom has been appointed as Singapore's 4th mobile telecommunications network service provider and currently we are building Singapore's newest 5G mobile and fixed broadband network.
To join us and be part of this exciting journey, we are looking for telecommunication professional with XGS-PON access experience, who also a great team player with right attitude.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of XGS-PON, troubleshooting FBB issues and handling fault escalation to NLT
- Lead the network testing procedures and acceptance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Assess the network and identify areas of improvement
- Perform the network change requests
- Participate in various projects for the XGS-PON network service integration, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links
- Liaising with internal/external partner/vendor to ensure daily operation and site implementation are smoothly executed
- Providing forecast ETA for XGS-PON infrastructure readiness in align with stages of project plan

The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:
- At least 2 years of working experience as an Network Engineer
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma specialized in Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent
- Proficiency in XGS-PON network engineering, operation, and optimization tasks
- Experienced in the XGS-PON network product from Huawei, Nokia and others
- CCNA or equivalent certification will be a bonus
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Responsible and responsive character
- Great team player
