Responsible for tier-1 network monitoring and operations of customer's IDC network, conducting 7.24.365 shift based rotation.
Responsible for promptly responding to, following up on, and driving the resolution of various network alarms and faults. Escalate to tier-2 engineer if needed.
Responsible for following up and finishing network breakfixes like switch replacement, link repairing and dark fiber restoration. Work with IDC technicians to conduct physical work and provide proper instruction remotely.
Responsible for conducting some simple network maintenance.
Summarise daily monitoring and operations work into documents and regularly share within the team.
Qualifications:
13 years of experience in data center network monitoring and operations.
Have basic understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP etc.
Responsible, meticulous, have good communication skills.
Capability of network troubleshooting and experience with Linux is preferred.
