Astek has an opening for the role of Network Operation Lead.
In this role, you will oversee network operations, as well as be involved in the technical aspects.
We are looking for someone who is efficient both technically and operationally.
You must have experience managing a team and handling Network Ops.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee network infrastructure across Asia, ensuring its design, security, optimization, and reliability.
- Develop and implement network security strategies in collaboration with security teams to protect critical assets.
- Manage network inventories, ensuring the readiness and maintenance of critical equipment.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, change management procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead network troubleshooting efforts, mentoring peers, and conducting root cause analysis of complex issues.
- Architect and oversee deployment of enterprise-level network devices, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Serve as the network point of contact for shared offices or new entities joining shared office spaces.
- Analyze network traffic and performance to identify and address bottlenecks or security risks.
- Manage on-site operations at the Singapore Telco Node on behalf of the central team.
- Lead network-related projects for the Singapore Telco Node, working with vendors and central teams for successful implementation.
- Ensure regional adherence to central network standards.
- Identify and escalate any new network topics or deviations from standards to the central team.
- Oversee troubleshooting efforts across multiple telco nodes, with a focus on Singapore but potentially extending to other regions.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 10+ years of network administration experience, with leadership or mentorship responsibilities.
- Expert knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), network security, and firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Meraki MX/MS, FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve complex network issues quickly.
- Experience in a multinational environment, working with diverse teams across various functions.
- Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset, dedicated to continuous service improvement.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of leading high-priority network incidents (P1/P2) to resolution.
