Network Security and Cybersecurity Specialist- Banking Sector

About the Role

Our client, a leading bank, is seeking an experienced Network Security and Cybersecurity Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be essential in designing, implementing, and managing network security and cybersecurity controls to protect critical assets and ensure regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership on security initiatives that align with the bank's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

. Implement and manage network security and cybersecurity controls, ensuring their effectiveness in safeguarding the bank's assets.

. Ensure all security measures comply with both regulatory requirements and internal bank standards.

. Develop, review, and maintain policies and procedures related to network security and cybersecurity.

. Collaborate closely with the Head of Department and Senior Management to align security strategy and initiatives.

. Strengthen the bank's security capabilities by fostering a security-conscious culture and establishing relevant behavioral goals.

. Conduct and coordinate network security assessments and self-attestation programs.

. Provide cybersecurity awareness training to staff across the bank to enhance overall security knowledge.

. Prepare and deliver statistical reports on security measures for internal and external parties as needed.

. Manage compliance risk within day-to-day activities, processes, and systems to ensure adherence to risk policies.

. Undertake additional tasks and projects as requested by the Head of Department or Senior Management.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

. Relevant certifications, such as CISA or CISSP, are strongly preferred.

. Minimum 2 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity roles, ideally within the banking sector.

. Strong understanding of computer systems, network security, and cybersecurity best practices.

. Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.

. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across various departments.
