THE POSITION
The NPI Engineer is key member whom will contribute towards the success of new businesses. He (she) will drive NPI projects in accordance with planned schedule, volume, cost and quality, within budget and to prioritize project activities and provide support when needed from other departments
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning, execution, scheduling, functionality, delivery, quality and cost of new project and concurrent managing multiple projects.
- Establish manufacturing process for the production site(s) which includes
- - Direct manufacturing
- - Sub assembly and integration into main assembly
- - Work instructions and Job Sheets for each workstation and respective acceptance criteria
- - Co-ordinate tools and jig and fixture required at each station
- - Acceptance criteria for all external purchased parts and secondary process.
- Communicate with internal and external parties for project status update and support needed.
- Carry out Process FMEA to determine potential failure during early stage of development process and work with Design/ Engineering/ Production team to eliminate/ reduce it impacts.
- Monitor NPI progress timelines and escalate to management of major delay/ problem.
- Resolve product/ application issues
- - 1st contact point to address any issues reported by customer
- - Resolve issues faced by customer in timely manner
- Provide training
- - Prepare training materials and operation manuals
- - Carry out training to related operation staff
- Generate and manage engineering documents, drawings and specifications and keep up-to-date all documentation.
- Overall management of change due to customer's request, specifications, materials and all related matters.
- Perform ongoing risk management and ensure appropriate risks mitigation is implemented.
CANDIDATE'S REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 1 3 years of hand on New Product Introduction experiences in manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are welcome too.
- Industrial Engineering knowledge and Process FMEA will be an advantage.
- Interpersonal skill and team player.
- Results oriented, and customer-focus.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin and English (speak/ read/ write).
