Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Processes Setup

• Establish manufacturing processes and quality control measures.
• Utilize techniques like value stream mapping (VSM) for process optimization.

Design and Optimization

• Design manufacturing concepts to optimize resource utilization.
• Incorporate Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to simplify assembly processes.
• Aim to reduce overall product manufacturing costs.

Quality Control and Testing

• Create work instructions, testing protocols, and checklists for critical quality measurements.
• Define test parameters and collaborate with the tester design team.

Efficiency Improvement

• Explore design options for jigs to facilitate assembly and ensure critical alignments.
• Investigate alternative tools, including smart tools and ergonomic fixtures.

Project Involvement

• Participate in prototype builds and pre-series support activities before M300.
• Act as a stakeholder in the Product Approval Group (PAG), providing feedback via TFS tickets.
• Engage in discussions during PAG meetings for process improvement and issue resolution.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

• Work closely with Project Managers, Supplier Quality, Quality Management, Production, and Service teams.
• Review and approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure successful implementation of ECRs.

Project Milestones and Readiness

• Prepare for critical milestones, including readiness checks, Q-checks, and product/safety risk assessments.
• Ensure timely product releases to market by setting up SCM acceptance and delivery criteria.

Knowledge Transfer Post-M300

• Serve as project lead for knowledge transfer between sites after M300.
• Oversee the setup of manufacturing sites, ensuring tester readiness, technical knowledge transfer, production layout setup, and build capability.

Internal Auditing Responsibilities

• Act as internal auditor for ISO45001 within the NPI Process Engineering team.
• Prepare for and represent the team during external audits for recertification.

Salary:

• Up to $5000 + AWS + VB

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
• Diploma with Min 5-7 or Degree with 3-5 years working experience in Manufacturing or automation environment
• Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DMFA)
• Experienced as NPI and test engineer
• Knowledge in Process Engineering, Data Analysis (RCA, 5Why.4D), CAD and Electrical Design
• Alternative tools exploration such as smart tools and fixtures which support better ergonomics will also be considered.
• Ability to interface with the different department and stakeholders
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Strong quality mindset
• Independent and self-motivated
• Creative and able to think out of the box
