We are representing our client, the Singapore branch of a multinational banking group, to look for a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Senior Manager to manage the Singapore Branch's Corporate Banking NPL accounts.
Job Description
- Handle, monitor and follow up on the Branch's NPL accounts set up the recovery strategy and manage the recovery of NPL and written off accounts.
- Prepare recovery proposals for approval in accordance with the Branch's authorization.
- Monitor material risk events, and ensure timely reporting to Management/Head Office and follow up on the progress of potential NPL accounts.
- Review/Prepare monthly management reports on collection and recovery.
- Negotiate with borrowers in collaboration with cross functional departments such as Corporate Banking and Legal departments etc. and liaise with external parties such as lawyers and judicial manager etc.
- Ensure that post-loan management and NPL collection are carried out in accordance with the Head Office and Branch Management requirements and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the completion of key performance indicators relating to asset quality management assigned by Head Office and Management.
- Review and formulate the Branch's systems, procedures and requirements relating to material risk event management, NPL management and collection work.
- As a second line defense, set up the post-loan management risk framework to prevent potential NPL, and follow up and guide the Font Office on post-loan management activities.
- Provide targeted work assistance and guidance to the junior staff, and nurture team development.
- Handle any other work assigned by the Management.
Job Requirements
- More than 8 years of NPL management work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related major.
- Managerial experience is preferred.
- Familiar with the regulatory requirements of bank's bad credit collection.
- Familiar with legal terms in restructuring, litigation, repossession and liquidation.
- Possess independent project management capability.
- Strong ability to coordinate with all relevant parties, make sound judgments and handle contingencies in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Strong negotiation, communication and data analysis skills.
- Strong investigation ability.
- Fluent in English and Chinese as the incumbent is required to liaise with Chinese speaking counterparts.
