Nuclear medicine technician

1. Measure, calculate and record radiopharmaceuticals received, stored, used and disposed following radiation safety procedures.

2. Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipments and instruments as well as radiopharmaceuticals.

3. Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipments.

4. Prepare stock radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety standard to minimize radiation exposure to healthcare workers and patients.

5. Explain to patients the radiologic procedures and provide necessary assistance.

6. Administer radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician / radiologists

7. Undertake radiologic imaging for interpretation by radiologists

8. Record and process examination results

9. Train and supervise subordinates, interns and/or students.
