Overview

Nursing Administration works with Nursing leadership to oversee a range of functions including education, professional development, operations, finance, strategy, technology and innovation, information technology, risk, quality, infection control and sustainability. The scope of coverage will be the Inpatient Wards.

The Intern will work with our Ops & IT team where there are ongoing projects that supports the following objective:

• Transform patient care delivery through implementation of technology to deliver safer care for patients and to empower patients to be part of the care journey;
• Regular multi-year refreshment cycle of commonly used patient furniture;
• Post project implementation data collection and review
• Perform regular vendor performance management
• Provide operational support to the wards

Responsibilities

The intern will be working with our colleagues to provide the following support to the wards:

A. IT Responsibilities

• Liaise, coordinate, and communicate deployment details of iPads and Smart Pumps for patient use to clinical areas.
• Support supervisor in vendor management for IT projects.
• Assist supervisor in change management and training plans.
• Data collection at wards for the evaluation of Real Time Location System (RTLS) used for equipment tracking.

B. Ops Responsibilities

• Work closely with Operations team to deploy furniture used by patients to Nursing Inpatient Wards.
• Provision of operational support to Nursing Inpatient wards.
• Perform vendor service level response times for projects
• Verifying and processing of vendor invoices, billing report and payment when necessary.
• Provide logistic arrangement for nursing meetings/trainings,
• Participate and/or support the activities organized by Nursing Department,
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by Nursing Department

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree
• IT savvy, proficient in MS office (Excel & Words)
• Independent and fast learner
• Good time management and multi-task
• Openness to learn
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able to travel around clinical areas within NUH
