The Operation Manager is required to oversee all operational activities related to warehousing, inventory control, procurement and logistics for supporting the project needs.
Job description:
- Oversee a team in the above activities and
a) Engage with management to obtain business objectives.
b) Set out a clear timeline to restructure to improve efficiencies.
c) Review existing SOPs and check for compliance.
d) Propose new SOPs or improve existing SOPs where required.
e) Set out clear KPIs for team members, monitor performances and provide timely feedback.
- Liaise with subcontractors by ensuring they understand the workflow of the relevant activities and what is required of them.
- Raise the Safety Standards of the Store and Logistics team to have zero work injuries or damages to property.
- Interface and coordinate with Operations from Project Team to support project activities.
- Ensure schedule for materials is planned for each project.
- Procurement to use material schedule to obtain best prices.
- Store supervisor to plan store operations accordingly.
- Conduct spot checks on project sites to evaluate usage of material, identify wastage, improper storage etc.
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate operational policies that support project activities.
- Oversee the effective management of company's warehouses to assure timely delivery and low wastage.
- Oversee the effective upkeep of company's equipment and tools to ensure longer lifespan.
- Co-ordination with Accounts Team on billing.
- Liaise with government/Statutory Authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers etc.
- Ensuring Quality Assurance and ISO Standards are met on all construction related activities and ensure customer quality specifications are constantly met.
- Allocate Capital and Human Resources to maximize productivity.
- Drive IT development of software related to warehousing, inventory control, procurement and logistics.
- Other Ad-hoc Duties required to carry out.
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in operations management.
- Proven track record in construction industry especially infrastructure.
- Proven track record in business transformation in warehousing, supply chain management or procurement.
- Strong communicator and experience in leading a team.
- Proven track record in leading culture change.
