We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Manager to join our fast growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational functions of multiple retail stores or a large retail operation to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals. This role involves managing store operations, implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and driving performance across the retail network. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the customer experience, maximizing profitability, and supporting the overall success of the retail business.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Operational Management:
    Oversee daily store operations to ensure that all locations run smoothly and efficiently.
    Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to standardize and improve store performance.
    Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    Manage and support store managers and their teams, providing guidance and resources to help them achieve operational goals.
    Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development and training.
    Lead recruitment efforts for store management positions and support onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Sales and Financial Performance:
    Analyze sales performance across stores and develop strategies to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
    Review financial reports and operational data to monitor budget adherence, manage expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
    Implement and monitor sales initiatives, promotional activities, and inventory management strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Customer Experience:
    Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met or exceeded across all retail locations.
    Develop and implement customer service strategies to enhance the shopping experience and build customer loyalty.
    Address customer feedback and complaints effectively to resolve issues and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Inventory and Merchandising:
    Oversee inventory management processes, including stock levels, replenishment, and loss prevention.
    Collaborate with store managers to implement visual merchandising and display standards that align with brand guidelines and seasonal promotions.
    Monitor inventory turnover and sales trends to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations, including health and safety standards.
    Conduct regular store audits to ensure adherence to operational and merchandising standards.
    Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard store assets and minimize loss.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows, improve systems, and support operational initiatives.
    Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, operational metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
    Communicate operational goals, updates, and best practices to store managers and staff.
    Facilitate effective communication and coordination between stores and corporate headquarters.

We would want to speak with you if you are / have -

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail management or operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to drive performance and develop teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and retail management software (e.g., POS systems).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience with inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and customer service best practices.
  • Familiarity with retail industry trends and best practices.
