The Technical Lead will be responsible for smooth functioning of all technical operations. Besides, you will be coordinating with the Project Manager in reviewing timelines and deliverables.
The tech lead role also requires you to support ongoing projects. Furthermore, you will be responsible for working closely with the technical team members and supporting the operations. You will be playing an important role in audits and system modifications along with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Well versed with Data Center Technologies , Experience of managing Data Center Operations
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and guidance for development projects
- Oversee technical project plans and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget
- Work closely with other departments, such as product management, customer support, and marketing, to ensure all technical requirements are met
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure quality standards are met
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, processes and tools to enhance development capabilities
- Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures
- Should have strong understanding(SME/L3 +) on atleast 2 sets of technologies in Wintel, Virtualization, RHEL & UNIX), Network, Storage/backup , and understanding of other technologies
- Strong understanding ITIL. Service Acceptance
- Acts Single point of contact and drive in case of Escalation / P1/P2/ RCA discussion
- Ability to Manage various technical towers irrespective of technology
- Ensures new services are introduced in standard way& accepted into service
- Primary point of contact for the Delivery, responsible for building and nurturing strong technical know-how
- Understands SLA/OLA/Vendor Management
- Identifying gaps and work towards Operational/Technical Excellence
- Improving Technical service Delivery by way of Automation and/or Transformation
- Ability to Lead service delivery with the standard agreed processes/SOPs to deliver contracted service commitments
- Acts as a bridge between the Delivery , DU and the service delivery teams, Leadership and ground level team
- Participates in internal & external audits as required and presents information on quality & process adherence
- Ensures that delivery teams take corrective & preventive actions based on the audit & compliance findings
- Responsible to work with Project Managers (managing IT projects within the Managed Services framework) to ensure delivery and support
- Works with the delivery teams , leadership and helps them to identify risks & issues, document the risks, their impact, mitigation actions and contingency plan
- Understand KPI/KRA , Control Mechanism
- Deep understanding of Technical analysis irrespective of technology tower/domain
Requirements and skills:
- Over 7 years of Technical Delivery experience, IT operations environment, and overall, more than 10 Years of Experience.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects, including virtualization, networking, and hypervisor technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix, and VMware..
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
