About the role

This role will serve as the leader for the Packaging lead for major expansion project and transitioned into the ASEAN Packaging Team focused on the IFCN portfolio of products within the Nutrition BU of Reckitt. The role and/or team being managed is also expected to support common or shared objectives that support the broader IFCN business (e.g. other Regions, as required. The scope of work is related, but not limited to Projects related to innovation, cost savings, quality improvements, brand maintenance and/or customer requests for customized packages. The incumbent will serve and be viewed as a technical, people and project leader, with emphasis on holistic package development practices for the Tuas and ASEAN Nutrition Packaging Team.

Your responsibilities
Packaging lead for projects from end to end from design/inception to Closure including Qualification and validation.
Manage project communications up, down and across the business as appropriate.
Contribute, when necessary, to conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting technical issues and performance challenges.
Contribute, when necessary, to conduct lab analysis, production line trials and supplier testing on related projects. Generate and analyze performance-based data to drive technical and business recommendations.
Liaise with project managers and project management leadership to establish resourcing needs and identify constraints in real time and to a 1-3 years outlook.
Identify material requirements, draft specifications, and apply testing procedures to ensure projects deliver efficient cost, line performance, package quality, supply chain robustness, and fulfill the consumer need state.
Ensure the output of the team driving the creation of packaging material specifications, associated drawings and packaging procedural specifications are to department/BU standards and expectations
Maintain expert level technical acumen of IFCN packaging formats and be capable of sharing/ teaching others with respect to technical information and technology.
Champion and resource the identification of new packages, materials or technologies to develop them as enablers to drive cost savings, packaging value propositions for consumers and/or core renovation initiatives, while capable of gaining support to move through a projects life cycle.
Work across all functions, including the balance of R&D, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Commercial, Procurement and Suppliers to support project launches as need.
Partner and establish relationships with suppliers in an effort to leverage their technical and/or business capabilities to Reckitts advantage.
Provide coaching and mentoring to a broad variety of packaging professionals with varying skill sets within the department and across the various Regions, as required.
Understand the packaging value chain within Reckitts Nutrition BU and advocate for packaging and its significance to our customers, consumers and internal/external stakeholders.
The experience we're looking for
Bachelors Degree in Packaging, Package Engineering, Packaging Science or adjacent technical field such as Engineering or Food Science required.
Project Management experience is plus.
Strong knowledge of science and technology discovery, design, and development processes, information systems.
Working knowledge of networking with external resources outside of R&D.
Basic understanding of how to translate consumer and customer insights into functional value that creates benefit.
Able to embody design theories and output packaging solutions that can be commercialized.
A strong background in packaging equipment systems and qualifications.
