Patient Service Associate is to manage and provide frontline patient services such as patient admission, in-flight / discharge billing consultation, modes of payment consultation, general enquiries handling, birth registration and cashiering.
- Pre-Admission Administration
- Works with Bed Management Unit (BMU) to monitor the availability of beds for elective inpatients prior to admission.
- Coordinates with the doctors / Specialist Outpatient Clinics to manage patients when elective admissions are cancelled
- Admission Administration
- Conducts financial counseling for admitting patients to explain on the charges are derived and how the bills would be financed.
- Assists the patients to complete the various modes of payment forms.
- In-flight / Discharge Administration
- Assists patients / next-of-kin to understand the bills and settle the outstanding payment.
- Assists needy patients by referring them to Business Office / Medical Social Workers Department for financial assistance schemes.
- Works with PSC's Bill Monitoring Team (BMT) to manage patients outstanding bills.
- Handling of General Enquiries
- Assists patients / next-of-kin / general public on general / non-clinical / non-medical issues over the counters / telephone.
- Administration Work
- Performs IP Tagging function.
- Performs posting of charges for in-flight patients.
- Performs settlement for NETS / Credit Card transactions daily.
- Performs proper handover to Finance Department daily.
- Reply to the primary email daily.
- Birth Registration
- Assists informants to register the newborn's birth application.
- Collects the payment for the birth registration services.
- Administrates the Baby Bonus Forms and collates the relevant statistics as required by ICA.

- System Testing Duties
- Performs daily housekeeping of the reception areas and workstations, in order to maintain a professional image and neatness of the work place
- Guides new hires on the SOPs and workflows.
- Takes a proactive role in participating in internal PSC projects.
- Performs ad-hoc duties as directed from PSC Management.
3. The Requirements
- GCE A Level or Diploma Holder.
- Proficient in writing, communication and presentation skill.
- Good knowledge in computer.
- A pleasant personality with good working attitude.
- Able to work independently.
Working hours
4 day work week
Mon-Fri (any 4 days)
9am - 8pm
Every month
Rostered for a 9-6pm (weekday) or 9-2pm x2 (sat or sun)
