About The Opportunity
As a People Partner for our Southeast Asia Territory you will contribute to solving day to day people related issues, including but not limited to discussing employee issues, supporting managers and rolling out global people initiatives. You will partner with other internal teams, across the People Teams and other cross-functional stakeholders, to operationalise the legal requirements for operating in Southeast Asia.
You will work closely with your manager, who will outline the tasks needed for the Southeast Asia Territory. As the primary point of contact on the People Team for the Southeast Asia General Manager, your role will involve supporting and executing the directives given by your manager.
You will be supporting all countries in our Southeast Asia Territory: Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia & Australia.
Responsibilities (not Limited To)
- Act as the point of contact for managers and employees in our Southeast Asia Territory on day-to-day people related issues and to work with them to find solutions (e.g., manage sick cases, advise on performance management, coaching, conduct exit interviews).
- Deliver training, coaching, and advice to employees and people managers on our employee policies and processes at WeWork.
- Partner with Recruiting to ensure successful hiring, based on business needs and your expertise on the roles.
- Responsible for articulating country nuances and operationalise tasks in an appropriate time frame which will complement the agreed strategy of the territory.
- Communicate proactively to share people issues with your manager to plan solutions and action accordingly.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, International People Partner Team and People Centers of Excellence (COEs) to understand, share and roll out people initiatives. (e.g., performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation planning, benefit changes).
- Present during Territory Connections on People topics and be the ambassador of people initiatives through communications via email and on slack channels to Southeast Territory teams.
- Be an ambassador of our WeWork culture in the SE Territory.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
- At least 3+ years HR Partnering experience, preferably within a fast-growing organisation, or equivalent experience and exposure in a HR specialist role (e.g. HR Operations, Compensation or Employee Relations).
- Strong collaboration, problem solving skills, critical thinking, to implement and drive processes.
- Results-driven, user-centric, innovative, and comfortable in a matrixed environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and vibrant environment.
- Strong people focus with a passion for supporting employees growth and success.
- Demonstrable ability to roll out globally led People initiatives.
- Ability to work cross functionally and establish trust with the employees you support.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Build, tailor and discuss presentations, requiring good knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, GSuite applications, and other relevant office / HRIT tools or systems.
