About the Role
You will be part of the Outpatient Pharmacy department to by working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote wellness and ensure quality pharmaceutical care to cancer patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate technique in accordance with department policies and guidelines.
- Assure completeness and appropriateness of medication order before preparing and permitting the distribution or dispensing.
- Provide medication-use education to patient and caregivers.
- Check accuracy of the work of pharmacy technical and clerical personnel or others in accordance with institutional/departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist pharmacist in-charge in supervising and scheduling work of subordinate staff in the pharmacy.
- Ensure the continuity of pharmaceutical care to and from the acute and ambulatory patient care settings.
- Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to requests for drug information from health care providers and patients.
- Ensure accurate charging and collection of fees at the pharmacies.
- Perform drug ordering and maintains sufficient stock for patients needs.
- Participate in process for assessing, managing and reporting medication errors.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement program.
- Collect and prepare workload statistics and other reports as assigned by Senior Pharmacists/Pharmacy Manager.
- Perform any duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) or equivalent.
- Registered with Singapore Pharmacy Pharmacy Council.
- Strong oral and writing skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
