The Pharmacy Technician will assist in procurement, inventory control of pharmaceutical products which include daily dispensing, discharge counselling, medication reconciliation and resolving medication related issues, assists in daily operations of the pharmacy, assist in preparing inventory, prescription intervention, billing, and reports.
Job Responsibilities
- To perform the full spectrum of pharmacy services from procurement, inventory management, distribution, billing, reconciliation, dispensing and medication education.
- To assist in research, quality assurance and improvement programs.
- To assist in the compiling and analysis of data e.g. medication near misses, procument, adjustments and audits.
- To assist in the training, supervision and mentoring of new staff, junior staff, volunteers, and attachment students.
- Housekeeping of the pharmacy.
- To perform other duties as may be required.
What you might need to have:
- Possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy technician certificate.
- Basic knowledge of common medications.
- Relevant experience in hospitals will be an added advantage.
- Open to fresh graduates with the relevant certificates (with internship experience in hospital and dispensing experience are preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Meticulous, good team player with excellent communication skill.
- Service orientated.
