Piping Engineer

Skills and experiences required

. Able to do AUTOCAD

. MS Office at least to intermediate level

. Able to work independently with minimal supervision

. Able to work under tight deadlines and schedules

. Good technical and communication skills

. Able to converse in both English & preferably Mandarin as required to liaise with Mandarin speaking site workers, subcons/vendors

Duties & Responsibilities

. Coordinate piping design with other engineering disciplines

. Prepare piping layouts, general specifications and documents according to project standards.

. Analyze and interpret stress/vibration results, offering recommendations for piping system designs.

. Develop piping layouts for critical equipment like compressors and reactors, in 3D CAD if possible

. Review project documentation such as scope of work, schedules, and design basis.

. Assist in planning and organizing piping engineering activities, including manpower requirements and schedules, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.

. Able to do material take-off (MTO) and ensure conformance with company design standards and compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry practices.

. Participate in inter-department coordination on all project-related issues

. Support field engineering during construction and advise on installation and testing.

. Conduct site visits

. Any other relevant tasks as assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications & Other requirements

. Diploma/Degree in relevant industry. Safety certifications an added advantage

. Min. 3-year working experience in a construction firm

. Ability to work well in high volume, fast-paced environment as a member of a collaborative team

. Singaporean or Singapore PR preferred
