RESPONSIBILITIES
As the maintenance gatekeeper responsible for assessing the notifications that are mainly prepared by production with reference to plant and process safety, environmental protection, reliability of the plant, cost effectiveness and optimization of the process and transforming approved notifications into work orders in SAP
Work with the maintenance department to ensure that the work performed by Maintenance contractor are up to specification
Responsible for maintenance of master documents and update of plant documentation to company standards
Responsible for plant turnarounds activities
Support overall continuous improvement process and preparing recommendations for alternative equipment or improved plant design through workflow and technical (Mechanical/Process) improvements.
Contributes to maintain and administer facility quality, safety and environmental programs/processes, including non-conformance action items and MOC processes
Maintaining and optimizing all maintenance plans that include preventive measures, inspections and all other routine works
Cost Analysis and report preparation for maintenance and optimized effectiveness
Troubleshoot and resolve varied problems as the first and last point of contact for equipment failures.
Lead and participate in routine and periodic RCAs (root cause analysis) utilizing fishbone diagram and causemapp
Support the production plant in upholding high technical economical availability of the equipment assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information, the specification of the methods, process steps, and the plant, machinery and equipment required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.
Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and / or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery), Engineering - Chemical or equivalent.
Good understanding of chemical or mechanical process equipment
Good communication skills to foster team work and know-how exchange
