We are currently working with a Single Family Office here in Singapore. They are looking to hire a Portfolio Manager their team. The focus will be across Private Market Investments (Private Equity, Venture Capital & Private Credit). The ideal candidate would be someone with 10 - 15 Years of Experience covering Fund Investments/Fund Selection or Co-Investments across the Private Equity, Venture Capital or Private Credit.
About the Role:
The Portfolio Manager will play a key role in managing and expanding the family office's private equity, venture capital, and private credit portfolio within an endowment-style investment framework. This position involves sourcing, evaluating, and selecting external managers and funds across these asset classes, in addition to contributing to portfolio strategy and ensuring alignment with the family's long-term financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Sourcing & Due Diligence: Identify, research, and evaluate potential investment opportunities in private equity, venture capital, and private credit, including funds, co-investments, direct investments, and manager selection.
- Manager & Fund Selection: Conduct thorough due diligence on external managers and funds, assessing their investment strategies, performance history, and alignment with the family's goals. Recommend top-tier managers and funds for inclusion in the portfolio.
- Portfolio Construction & Management: Assist in developing a diversified and balanced portfolio across asset classes, geographies, and sectors, adhering to the endowment model's long-term investment philosophy.
- Investment Analysis & Modeling: Perform in-depth financial analysis, modeling, and valuation to assess potential returns and risks of investments, including fund and manager selection. Provide data-driven insights to support investment decisions.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track and monitor the performance of selected funds, managers, and direct investments, producing detailed performance reports and reviews for leadership.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying and managing risks within the portfolio, ensuring the investment strategy remains aligned with the family's objectives while maintaining appropriate risk exposures.
- Market Research & Trends: Stay informed of market trends and developments in private equity, venture capital, and private credit, including emerging fund managers, new opportunities, and market shifts.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investment managers, consultants, and advisors, to ensure effective execution of investment strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 10 - 15 years of relevant investment experience, ideally within private equity, venture capital, or private credit, with experience in manager and fund selection, asset allocation, and portfolio management.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of investment strategies, fund structures, and risk management principles.
- Experience working within an endowment-style or multi-asset-class investment model is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex investment ideas to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
