We seek a skilled Power BI Developer (6-month contract) to design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, an understanding of business intelligence (BI) concepts, and experience working with large datasets. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Power BI solutions based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting and visualization needs.
- Build and publish interactive dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) and visuals for various departments.
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights, using Power Query, DAX, and Power BI data modeling.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, cloud platforms, and other BI tools.
- Optimize and maintain existing Power BI reports and ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth data pipeline operations.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
- Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, data transformation, and reporting.
- Expertise in SQL querying and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience in data integration from various sources like Excel, APIs, and third-party tools.
- Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
