The Community Psychology Hub (CPH) is dedicated to improving people's lives through innovative, quality psychological and research services. We work in active collaboration with partners in the social service and public sector to provide care for persons with vulnerabilities alongside their families in the community. Set up by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in 2015, we are a unit sited within SG Enable Ltd, a registered charity and an Institution of a Public Character.
We are seeking a dedicated leader to oversee psychological services for individuals, couples, children, and families facing mental health and family-related challenges. In this impactful role, you will guide a team of professionals to deliver community-based support, promoting well-being and resilience. Responsibilities
1. Clinical oversight and service delivery
- Oversee the provision of psychological services, ensuring they meet high clinical standards and address the mental health needs of individuals, couples, children, and families.
- Design and refine evidence-based interventions and therapeutic approaches tailored to diverse client needs.
- Regularly review cases and outcomes to assess progress, making adjustments to service delivery where necessary.
2. Team leadership and development
- Lead, support, and provide supervision to psychologists
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for the team to keep them updated on best practices.
- Cultivate a supportive work environment where team members work cohesively to achieve client and organizational goals.
3. Stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with government and social service stakeholders to deliver and improve client care and services in the community
- Provide psychological expertise to other organisations and relevant professionals
4. Uplift professional practice in psychology
- Lead improvements in models of care and service delivery based on research and emerging sector trends
- Provide mentoring and supervision to psychologists, students in Masters and Doctorate programmes, interns and other relevant social sector professionals
- Establish/provide relevant training in an area of specialisation
- Lead development and implementation of new psychology services, initiatives and technology based on research and sector trends
- Deliver lectures and workshops on topics in an area of specialisation for relevant professionals and other organisations
5. Maintain professional, legal and ethical standards
- Monitor staff adherence to policies and procedures for professional practices
- Lead projects to improve client care and services at department level
- Implement professional standards in clinical, legal and ethical practices within department
Requirements
1. Educational qualifications
- A recognised Masters degree in Psychology (preferably Clinical). The programme must include a supervised practicum and supervised training in psychological assessment and intervention.
- Be eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) (Full Membership) and Singapore register of Psychologists (SRP)
2. Work experience
- At least 5 years of experience in leading teams/psychologists including providing therapy to individuals, couples, children, and families.
- (Preferred) Familiarity or prior working experience in the social services sector
3. Other qualities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
- Adaptable to changing circumstances
