Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the R&D leader in Singapore, you will be actively contributing to the Mechanical Engineering task throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Perform mechanical engineering tasks from concept to production for new product development.
- Support post-launch product activities such as quality improvement, cost optimization, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineers to meet performance, reliability, and cost objectives.
- Lead quality, cost, and productivity projects using tools like Tolerance Stack, FMEA, and Minitab.
- Assume project responsibility from product design through production.
- Engage in system documentation, risk analysis, and regulatory submissions.
- Oversee testing, verification, and validation processes to ensure compliance.
- Identify design gaps and propose strategies using DFM & DFS practices.
- Conduct technical design reviews and ensure compliance with medical regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, IEC).
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- More than 5 years of experience in medical devices and mechanical engineering, having worked through a complete product lifecycle.
- Experience with electro-mechanical integration and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining).
- Proficient in 3D modeling (Creo/Solidworks), tolerance analysis, and fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Strong project management and risk-based execution abilities.
- Effective communication, proactive attitude, and a passion for product commercialization.
- Team player with excellent networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
