Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation seeks a new Principal Program Manager - Renewable Energy Liaison, focused on renewable energy strategic communication and coordination for the APAC region. The Renewable Energy team is charged with procuring carbon-free energy to meet the company's sustainability commitments - 100% renewable energy by 2025 and 100/100/0 by 2030. Our ability to effectively communicate our global strategy at a local level is critical to securing datacenter capacity across APAC.
The candidate will be responsible for speaking knowledgably to key datacenter stakeholders about renewable energy, supporting Microsoft leadership as they engage with ministries, policy makers and other key related decision makers for growing Microsoft's datacenter footprint. Thus, the candidate must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of renewable energy projects - project development and/or contracting, energy market expertise in APAC, and familiarity with datacenter siting. We seek someone with strong verbal and written communication skills that has a demonstrated track record of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
