Responsibilities:
- Lead the tooling team in problem-solving, identifying problems, and analysis of root causes.
- Work with departments on the progress to ensure effective tooling and achieving 100% on-time delivery.
- Analyse stamping processes and identify for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Investigation and defect analysis to solve specific technical issues
- Provide technical support to Sales and customers with tooling feasibilities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to refine tooling processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap rates.
- Maintain documentation pertaining to process, quality, and system to meet ISO requirements
- Manage discipline and tardiness in both Tool & Die and Stamping Personnel.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure tool longevity and minimize downtime.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the stamping department.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and optimize processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and achievements.
- Maintain accurate records of tool and die, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Production, NPI, Quality control, and Operation teams to optimize tooling and processes.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Precision Engineering or Certificate in Tool Die making.
- Minimum 15 years in Tool and Die making in metal stamping industry.
- Ability to diagnose and address complex tooling issues with leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of stamping processes, die design principles, materials, and metallurgy.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization methodologies.
