Job Overview
The Procurement Analyst is a key member of the Procurement Excellence team and will be responsible for providing timely support to Procurement and cross functional colleagues in the Asia Pacific region to achieve Amcors Procure Plus goals.
The Procurement Analyst will work with the Procurement category teams, cross functional stakeholders and/or external vendors to develop sourcing strategies and saving opportunities, provide analytical support to inform business decisions and develop and maintain procurement reports and performance metrics.
The Procurement Analyst will work with stakeholders across the Amcor business from plant regional and Global levels, with primary focus in the Asia-Pac region.
Principal Accountabilities
Procurement Analysis and Reporting
Gather and analyze key procurement metrics using data collection techniques to complete Monthly Management Report (MMR), Raw Material Passthrough (RMPT) and other reports (Quarterly Business Review report, Steerco etc.)
Extract, analyse and report procurement spend and savings data and other key performance metrics (e.g., sustainability, DIFOTIS, Finance etc).
Collaborate with Procurement and Cross-functional stakeholders including Senior Leadership Team to generate actionable insights and identify opportunities to enhance savings, compliance and working capital.
Build should-cost model for various categories and identify cost drivers and cost influencers to enable category teams to effectively negotiate with vendors.
Gather and understand requirements from categories to build templates for enabling e-sourcing, RFQ, e-auction processes etc.
Establish and maintain communication channels with Procurement leadership, key team members and and internal business units for data gathering/analysis and to support their business requirements.
Identify opportunities e.g., automation opportunities or improvements in data analysis or reporting.
Business Process Improvement
Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives to improve Procurement ways of working across areas such as Supplier Relationship Management or Contract Management.
Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
University degree in a relevant discipline
4 6 years experience in procurement or supply chain analysis preferably from procurement/supply chain consulting or Manufacturing/FMCG/Pharma/Packaging with a mature procurement function.
Working knowledge of Procurement business processes and exhibiting functional knowledge of tools, processes and techniques related to procurement systems and methodologies is a must.
Working knowledge of building should cost models, e-sourcing and RFQ processes.
Ability to efficiently manage large amounts of data, synthesise into meaningful output and make recommendations based on insights gathered from the data
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Advanced Excel skills
Experience in PowerBI is good to have
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and stakeholders across the business
Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in cross cultural teams
