About the role
This position is for a Procurement Specialist, executing contracts in accordance with sourcing goals and acceptable service levels. Analyzes supplier data and price proposals to ensure acceptable pricing, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Procurement Specialist, youll be responsible for:
Manage supplier and their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality
Create local/regional/globalsavings opportunities
Support the delivery of working capital targets and creditor targets for the site
Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds
Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned products, consistent with global or local procurement plans
Negotiate agreements with suppliers for raw materials within the value of spend
Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources, milestones and measures for projects
Communicate with key stakeholders on projects to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Diploma or Degree in Business or Engineering with at least 5 years relevant purchasing experience
Good understanding of purchasing processes and systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Effective cross-functional team member with good conflict resolution skills
Good team player
Strong negotiation skills
Customer focused and results driven
Proficiency in MS office
