About the Role:
As our Product Designer - Soft Goods, you will be responsible for developing innovative designs
for textile-based products such as apparel, accessories, bags, or other soft items. You should be
able to conceptualize and refine product designs, select materials, create prototypes, and ensure
functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal that aligns with the brand.
Responsibilities:
. Develop and review all products, prototypes and samples, and communicate changes to factories
. Research current trends, prints and colours and perform design analysis
. Present concepts through digital or hand-drawn sketches, mood and colour boards
. Execute and oversee the entire design and production process from research and planning, designing and budgeting to the actual launch
. Liaise and coordinate with factories on production-related matters
. Maintain close working relationships with factories and suppliers to remain updated on the status of samples and orders
. Assist in photoshoots for new product launches
Requirements:
. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
. Skilled in 3D CAD applications (NX, Rhino, Alias, Solidworks, etc)
. Proficient in 2D design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, etc)
. Good command of English and Mandarin to communicate with suppliers in China
. Strong aesthetic sense in regards to product form, material and finishing
. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for textiles and soft goods
. Diploma or Degree in Design preferred
