The Job
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy based on stakeholder needs, organizational goals.
- Conduct impact assessment and proposal of suitable product solutions to evaluate fit for business purpose by utilizing appropriate research techniques to gather sufficient technical and process inputs for further technical and business evaluation. This includes the ability to identify pain points and process gaps on existing manual/semi-automated operational work processes.
- Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch to ensure timely delivery, where activities include:
- Lead UI/UX design sessions and review, including documentation of user journeys to identify process gaps and potential for technology improvements.
- Form and determine the priority of User Stories for development.
- Plan and execute UAT and Training sessions with SME Leads (Subject Matter Experts) and Project Manager (depending on delivery methodology Agile/Hybrid Waterfall). This includes ensuring that UAT Test Scenarios and User Guides are detailed and well developed.
- Plan and execute Business Go-Live and Adoption strategy with the aim to meet the product's business value and KPI.
- Initiate management signoffs for key milestones in the product life cycle.
- Initiate periodic updates to management and key stakeholders.
- Plan and lead subsequent product increments.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to build and deliver innovative digital solutions.
- Conduct design reviews, user research, analyse customer feedback, and gather insights to drive continuous product improvements.
- Act as the liaison between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product goals and strategies.
- Present product updates and performance to senior management, justifying decisions with data insights.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Set and track key product metrics (KPIs) to evaluate success and determine areas of improvement. Use data analytics to monitor product performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive product enhancements.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of corporate business processes, particularly in areas such as Finance and HR, to effectively align existing enterprise application capabilities with organizational needs.
Job Requirement
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Industrial Design or other relevant areas.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on understanding corporate business processes like Finance, HR, Enterprise Asset Management, Customer Relationship Management.
- Experienced in stakeholder engagement and process and solution design with relevant experience in Business and/or digital solutions analyst background.
- Knowledge of Agile Product Management and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE-2 or LEAN Six Sigma or CBAP or Scrum will be an advantage.
- Good technical understanding of digital solutions in the market will be an added advantage.
- Basic software development and database knowledge.
- Strong in Microsoft Office suite of products (added advantage if can code in Python/Java/other object-oriented programming language).
- Pro-active ground engagement and need to think on your feet and propose ideas for improvements.
- A good communicator, outgoing, and able to engage others across diverse cultures.
- Highly numerate, meticulous and process driven, ability to deliver results under stressful and challenging conditions.
- Lead and seek stakeholder buy-in on why proposed solution and process works best. Always have a continuous improvement approach.
- Challenge the thinking in a constructive manner and propose solutions which are in line with JP's overall business objectives.
