Overview
As a Production Engineer, you are to assist the Production Manager in overseeing the production operation and work out schedules and plans, monitor progress, forecast demand of resources, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring smooth project delivery and optimization of production performance from conception to completion. You are to adhere to company's Integrated Management System (IMS) and compliance to applicable Singapore Standards and Regulations in the Industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and coordinate projects to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget and of highest quality.
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities in projects managed.
- Plan, develop, execute, monitor project schedule, resource plan and budget.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Supervise team of Supervisors, foreman and workers in the production operations to ensure quality, productivity, and safety.
- Set daily/ weekly/ monthly objectives and communicate them to production team.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Check production output according to specifications.
- Submit reports on performance and progress.
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Ensure customer requirement are determined and met, thus enhance customer satisfaction.
- Plan & carry out production or service under controlled conditions - including product characteristics, work instructions / standard work methods, casting schedule, material order, suitable equipment, Monitoring & Measurement (MM), release, delivery & post-delivery activities as well as propose yearly budget.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Civil / Building / Construction / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years of supervisory level and relevant work experience in a Precast / Prefabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU) or Building & Construction environment.
- Knowledge of precast construction practices, erection sequence, design, and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of relevant Statutory requirements and compliances.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001 will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with people of all levels.
- Willing to work on alternate Saturdays and Sundays or Public Holidays if required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
