Job Scope
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in taking charge of all jobs whenever necessary and ensure delegation and coordination on the necessary works.
- Ensure that all budgets and plans are met.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to monitor and manage loadings, direct labour hours, overtime, rework, scrap, on time deliveries, downtime, work efficiencies and ensure all measurements are within plans whenever necessary.
- Organize weekly production meeting to provide status update to all relevant departments and iron out related production issues.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to formulate shop floor production plans and optimize production hours and weekly planned hours ensuring on time delivery.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to identify the skill level of production employees and distribute suitable work tasks to achieve higher throughput whenever necessary.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager to conduct annual performance appraisal for all reporting employees whenever necessary.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in resolving bottleneck situations and determining root cause, corrections and corrective actions for internal rejection and scrap.
- Assist the Production Manager and Machining Shop Manager in initiating purchase requisition for any requirements and preparing monthly reports whenever necessary.
Requirement
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in metal machining or oil & gas industry
