Drive optimization of plant capacity, equipment uptime and yield by safe, disciplined & cost-effective operations.
Provide facilitative leadership and technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit to assist operators in resolving performance gaps vs. production plan.
Optimize equipment maintenance and/or plant turnaround based on business requirements and/or production schedule.
Review and reduce energy consumption through implementation of programs, initiatives and projects in the process and utility areas.
Drive the development and enhancement of the skills of shift team technicians.
Promote quality culture and drive work discipline in day and shift team operations.
Participate in review of process and operations (through process safety management) to enhance process safety.
Develop and lead data-driven productivity initiatives.
Work with Reliability Engineers in identification of root cause for equipment failure and development of long-term resolutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
At least 2 years relevant experience in technical/operations function in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing.
Those without experience but are interested in Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical knowledge in chemical process.
Resourceful and possess excellent analytical & interpersonal skills.
Willing to work in 12-hour rotating shift environment.
