Able to use AutoCAD and read drawings (P&ID, isometrics, schematics, layouts etc).
Able to process and define engineering requirements.
Perform technical evaluations, review specifications, datasheets, and standards, including ITP and HAZOP, cause, and effect studies.
Engage vendors, fabricators, consultants, and surveyors on engineering issues.
Familiar with equipment integration work packages, including interfacing of structure, piping, instrumentation, and alarm systems.
Generate and tabulate RFQs. Assess supplier, vendor and/ or sub-contractor proposals. Present techno-commercial recommendations and justifications.
Prepare work packs, procurement, and quality plan. Monitor and follow up on documentation flow, procurement process and shipment according to project schedule.
Develop project plan (schedule, resources, and material). Track project milestones and deliverables. Escalate issues where necessary.
Highlight potential cost or time impact.
Update MTO and procurement list.
Assess risks and organize project risk register.
Monitor and manage changes, inform, and track deviations.
Coordinate interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities according to phase of project. Attend to site work (fabrication, installation, and testing) and drive performance in terms of manpower, QAQC and HSE.
Able to draft technical reports and method statements in an organized manner.
Conduct action review (AR) and lessons learnt (LL).
Disseminate information in a timely manner ie. during and post project.
Contextualise issues and facilitate dispute resolution.
Follow up on client and/ or engineering comments, punch lists and NCRs.
Assist with commissioning, project closeout and warranty claims.
Requirements:
3-7 years of working experience in Oil & Gas, Process, and/ or Marine & Offshore EPC (turnkey) projects (newbuilding, repairs, conversions, upgrades, and retrofits).
Degree/diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
Knowledge of industry and statutory standards and codes.
Able to work in fast-paced, multicultural, and disciplinary project teams.
Flexibility towards working hours, primarily office based but with requirements for site attendance, e.g., time with clients and site inspections.
Able to travel.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Words, Outlook).
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Have good situation awareness and safety mindset.
Professional qualifications such as Project Management or Ship Repair Manager Certificate will be advantageous.
