As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, and execution of system installation projects. Your role will involve managing all technical aspects of the projects, from initial stage through installation, ensuring the installed system meets the operational and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver project on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the technical design and implementation of systems, ensuring all project milestones are achieved.
- Technical Coordination: Liaise with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and software engineers) to integrate system components and ensure seamless operation.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients, authorities, and contractors to align on project goals and deliverables. Address and resolve any technical issues that arise.
- Cost & Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Provide regular updates on project progress.
- Installation & Commissioning: Supervise the installation and commissioning of systems, coordinating with contractors and technicians to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Testing & Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and integration with airport operations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project engineering
- Experience in baggage handling systems or material handling systems will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of airport operations and logistics.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work on-site during installation and testing phases.
- May involve occasional international travel.
