Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion in our upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on construction industry experience, strong customer management skills, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to Singapore's building regulations and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring alignment with BCA (Building & Construction Authority) requirements and client specifications
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities (BCA, URA, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution
- Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and efficiently
- Manage tender processes and contractor selection in compliance with Singapore procurement guidelines
- Monitor project costs and implement effective cost control measures
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) regulations
- Oversee project documentation including BUILD permits, temporary occupation permits (TOP), and certificate of statutory completion (CSC)
- Lead and motivate project teams while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry in Singapore
- Proven track record in customer relationship management and handling client communications
- Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations, and WSH requirements
- Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects within budget and timeline
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Plumber/Electrician certification from PUB (Public Utilities Board) - Preferred but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Experience with BIM software and digital construction technologies
- Knowledge of green building standards (Green Mark, LEED)
- Understanding of CONQUAS (Construction Quality Assessment System)
- Experience in both public and private sector projects
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) concepts
