Job Purpose
The Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects in the areas of fleet management and telematics systems.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Determine and define project scope and objectives.
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Manage an Operation Control Centre; implement continuous improvements on the Work Instructions / processes
Qualifications & Work Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business, or relevant fields.
At least 3 years of project management and related experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Prior experience in transportation industry is preferred.
Skills
Technical skills include:
Strong written and oral communication skills to interact professionally across functional teams and multiple levels within the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience in Agile, Scrum.
