This role required to run mid-size projects, while helping with the tracking of the Core Banking portfolio.
Mandatory skills: PM, Jira API, hands on scripting in Python/VBA, visualization tool e.g. Power BI, etc.
- Experience does not have to be huge few years in delivery area with project management responsibility should be enough)
- Responsibility for project portfolio tracking (where candidate was accountable for group of projects in terms of their dashboarding etc) would be a bonus
- Critical: scripting or programming skills at the level allowing to write simple programs (i.e. Python or Excel VBA) and be able to retrieve data from JIRA, enrich it and visualise
- Typical use case
- Extract list of STORIES from JIRA to Excel and write Excel VBA script, which uses JIRA APIs, to add number of defects and number of test cases linked to each story
- Or: extract list of defects and write the Excel VBA script, which (using JIRA APIs) reads the number of times a defect changes status from IN PROGRESS to READY FOR UAT
- Very nice to have: some basic data analytical skills
- Typical use case:
- Extract data from JIRA and use Excel's Power Query or - even better - Power BI to clean the data and create typical project dashboards (burn down charts, cumulative charts etc)
- Use Easy BI for analysis of project parameters
