Purchasing Assistant (Intern) 6 months
Primary Responsibilities:
Purchase consumables, parts, services etc assigned to you in accordance with the Fugro Procurement Processes.
Issue Purchase Order as per Procure to Pay instructions.
Liaise with Front office Procurement team in Singapore or Hong Kong.
Liaise with supplier on acknowledgement of Purchase Order Fugro QHSE or Fugro Supplier Code of Business Conduct.
Liaise with forwarders to deliver the goods accordingly
Generate reports and monitor supplier performance.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Source, assess, qualify, develop & manage suppliers to support operation
Assessment of current and potential suppliers in terms of supplier's technical competence and commercial risks
Manage the purchasing of technical goods and services according to the standards, policy, and procedures.
Effectively manage RFQ, price inquiries, quotations, negotiation, purchase orders and contracting out assignments
Select and continuously evaluate suppliers, contractors, and other service suppliers;
Ensure that materials are delivered in the most efficient manner, in good condition and within the agreed time limit, and effectively deal with any returns.
Requirements:
We are looking for an Intern who has an interest in purchasing or in supply chain and who are:
Keen to learn ICO terms.
Keen to learn ERP (IFS) system
Work independently and pro-actively
Demonstrates ownership and has a sense of responsibility;
Can work fast and accurately at the operational level;
Is convincing, adaptable, and persistent;
Candidates with minimum Diploma holder or Degree holder.
Proficiency in English is necessary for this position
