Responsibilities:
- Close communication with PD/PM to reflect PD/PM's intention for the project and establish QAQC management policy/tactics in line with PD/PM's intention.
- Responsible for dealing with authorities, client and consultant management.
- Assist the QAQC Manager in maintaining the Project Quality System in accordance with international and company's standard.
- Assist the QAQC Manager in verifying that Project Quality System established is being properly followed and that the construction works satisfy the contract/customer quality requirements.
- Establish inspection and test plan based on the contract.
- Co-ordinate the quality control aspect of the project.
- Report on operational procedures which affect quality and propose improvements to the project quality system.
- Test all items in inspection and test plan at work site or laboratory to verify conformation to the specified requirements.
- Implement and control tagging procedures at different levels.
- Coordinate with M&E department on M&E installation and T&C.
- Record all deficiencies and issue re-work orders to relevant contractors.
- Liaise with external laboratory to carry out the testing of materials (Concrete, rebar, other field tests).
- Conduct factory visits as per project requirement with client/consultant representative.
- Liaise with suppliers/vendors on quality control issues.
- Prepare reports on Authority inspections (RI inspection, BCA TOP inspection etc.).
- Organize and conduct handling over punch walks with client and consultant team.
- Assist Manager in preparing handling over documents and the handling over process.
- Ensure all site inspection records, QAQC documents & TC records are up to date.
- Check, evaluate and confirm work done and material supply quantity status for the purpose of rectification works progress claims and backcharges if any.
- Responsible for the compliance to safety & occupational health practices to be implemented at QAQC Section.
- Responsible for site implementation of safety standards to comply with IMS safe work methods.
- Responsible for attendance to daily site coordination meeting.
- Assist in all CONQUAS and QM assessments.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of quality control/ assurance experience in the building and construction industry.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of IMS International standards.
- Track record in implementing quality control measures.
- Very familiar with local regulations pertaining to Builder's Licence, Work Head Registration or other related requirements.
- Good knowledge of documentation procedures.
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi task.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues.
