What you will be working on
Reporting to the ESMS Project Director, lead the planning and execution of end-to-end testing to ensure all system modules are thoroughly validated and their dependencies function seamlessly within the Enterprise Student Management System, in full alignment with project requirements, performance objectives, and quality standards.
- Develop and manage the overall end-to-end test plan and schedule, ensuring it aligns with key project milestones. Work closely with internal teams, including Functional, Project, Technology, Change Managers, and the vendor, to ensure the testing efforts are consistent with the project's goals and deliverables.
- Lead the comprehensive end-to-end testing process to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of all ESMS modules, both functional and technical. This includes designing and implementing detailed test plans, strategies, and test cases that cover all phases of the system lifecycle - functional, regression, user acceptance, performance, and security testing. Additionally, to work with the Technology team to ensure that the interdependencies between modules and data flows across departments align with operational requirements.
- Establish and maintain a quality assurance framework for the project, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices. Identify potential system risks early and collaborate with the Functional team to mitigate them through structured testing protocols and contingency plans. Ensure testing coverage is comprehensive and meets the tender specifications, performance measures, and contractual requirements.
- Manage the tracking of issues and defects identified during end-to-end testing, ensuring timely communication and resolution between the vendor and Domain Leads. Escalate issues and address critical problems promptly, ensuring that the project remains on schedule and meets its objectives.
- Formulate and maintain standards for documentation related to end-to-end testing, quality assurance, and system validation. Provide regular reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and any critical issues that may require escalation to the Project Steering Committee (PSC) or Project Director. Ensure that the system complies with the data management, system migration, and documentation standards set by the project governance framework.
- Oversee the consolidation of test results from all modules, working closely with Domain Leads to evaluate the overall system performance. Ensure that any issues related to module integration are identified and resolved within the broader context of the system's operational objectives, ensuring full alignment before going live.
What we are looking for
Has at least 5 years experience in quality assurance and software testing, with significant experience in managing end-to-end testing for large-scale enterprise systems.
Experience working with SaaS or similar cloud-based systems, especially in an education or enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment.
Relevant experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT-related disciplines is advantageous.
Proficiency in various testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., functional, regression, performance, and security testing).
Experience with testing automation tools and test management platforms (e.g., PractiTest).
Familiarity with system integration testing and managing large datasets for validation purposes.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
Ability to lead planning efforts for test strategies, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely project execution.
Possesses good interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels and is a team player.
Possesses excellent time management and strong multi-tasking skills.
Possesses good organisational and analytical skills.
Is self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work well under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Visio tools.
