About the Role
The Quant Strategist will be working as part of the Markets Trading Solutions and Platforms team investigating trading strategies to assist traders with making strategic decisions when analysing trades and portfolios. The role is based in Singapore.
The role requires knowledge in one or more of following asset classes in ANZ markets business: Interest Rate, FX, Commodity, Credit derivatives. Previous experience of statistical analysis, trading analysis, trading strategies, economic research, Python / Jupyter notebooks and timeseries data analysis is required. Familiarity with cloud based big data analysis platforms is an advantage.

What will your day look like
As a Quant Strategist, your accountabilities include:
Analysis of trading data and trading trends to verify existing strategies.
Research into new data techniques / streamlining of existing processes.
Discussion and framing of strategic direction with business stakeholders.
Integration of strategy platforms with Quant development libraries and tech platforms.
What will you bring
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven track record in Quant background and knowledge of the relevant markets.
Experience in dealing with internal and external clients and working with traders and stakeholders.
Experience with working in a team across multiple geographies and time zones.
Strong customer focus and ability to drive results.
Experience with quantitative, data, trading and economic analysis is a must.
Strong Problem solving and strategic decision-making ability, making informed and defensible decisions in a fast-paced trading environment is required.
Experience with all aspects of the research process, including methodology selection, data analysis, ML, prototyping, back testing, and performance monitoring.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements in the countries ANZ Global Markets operates in.
Experience in managing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders at all seniority levels. Strong customer focus and ability to drive results.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively. Passionate about financial markets and systematic trading.
