Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing cost estimates, managing contracts, and ensuring the profitability of our facade construction projects. This position is integral to the success of project tenders and overall cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Preparation & Estimation: Analyze project requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates for facade construction projects.
Study and evaluate architectural and engineering plans to identify materials, labor, and equipment needs.
- Contract Management:Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and project requirements.
Negotiate contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Cost Control & Reporting:Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
Provide regular cost reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials and services.
Evaluate subcontractor bids to determine the best value options.
- Risk Management:Identify and mitigate potential risks in cost and contract management.
Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimating, preferably in facade construction or related industries.
- Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and legal regulations.
- Familiarity with facade systems and materials is a plus
