Quantity Surveyor
Salary range - S$5,000.00 to S$7,000.00
Job Description - Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities
- To take off and measure quantities from construction drawings
- To prepare prices at pre-contract / tender stage in order for timely submission of tender
- To coordinate and gather information relevant to preparation of tender prices in order to account for any variables
- To attend meetings with potential clients during tender phase to gather more information necessary on scope of works and other concerns or information
- To prepare Progress Claims and all other necessary documents for claim submission
- To liaise with the construction team on accurate quantity of work done for monthly claim
- To accurately demarcate work done areas on construction drawings to clearly inform the main-contractor
- To thoroughly check any subcontractor claims before issuing timely Payment Response / Payment Certificate
- To attend meetings with main-contractors, and / or sub-contractors, for discussions on any discrepancies to work done quantity or additional works (Variation)
- To liaise with main-contractor contracts team on scope of work matters and to disseminate accurate information to our construction team
- To thoroughly check and prepare Final Accounts for completed projects for main-contractors, and also to sub-contractors who have completed their scope of works
- To assist the Contracts Manager and/or Senior Quantity Surveyor of any contractual or Progress Claim / Payment Certificates matters
- To report all Progress Claims and Payment Response / Payment Certificates from both main-contractors and subcontractors to the Managing Director and General Manager in advance before respective response dates
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the General Manager or the Managing Director
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying or above
- Candidates of all experience levels are welcome
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel in particular)
- Able to read and understand construction drawings
- Must have good interpersonal / social skills to explain, communicate, liaise, negotiate with the Managing Director, own construction team, main-contractors and/or subcontractors
