Position: Quantity Surveyor- Job Description & Responsibilities:
Reporting to Project Manager and Senior QS. You will be responsible for the following duties:
Carry out pretender activities involved in the tendering process such as sourcing of quotations, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, quantity take-off and preparation of Bill Quantities for pricing etc.
Attend tender briefing/site show round/tender interview and follow up with Post tender Clarification and Questionnaires when required.
Carry out the detailed breakdown pricing.
Understanding of Tenders with respect to scope of work, pricing schedule and non-material requirements.
Respond to Client's Queries for submitted tender.
Attend onsite and consultants meetings and liaise with clients, architects and associate consultants in the administration of projects
Liaise with various related parties including customer, subcontractor on site to ensure project requirement are met
Coordination with government agencies, prepare documentations for submission including method statements, risk assessments, safe work procedure, etc.
Liaise, coordinate and supervision of workers & subcontractors at site
Handle technical and engineering problems
Responsible & ensure smooth implementation and monitoring of work at site
Gather, check site date, recording and monitoring of site work progress/productivity
Propose alternative work method or other ways to increase productivity
Ensure all workers at site comply with quality, environment, health & safety requirements
Ensure all relevant permit are applied before work commence.
Tool box/ RA briefing before work starts
Settle disputes & address clarifications on site
Other Ad-hoc QS duties assigned by the Tender Manager/Project Manager.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
Strong foundation in A&A works, including structural, Architectural and M&E works
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Hardworking and willing to learn
Able to work independently and also work in a team
