Job Description

Our client is launching a new business and establishing a factory in Singapore. They are seeking an R&D Design Manager (Semiconductor) to join their start-up team.

Reporting To: COO or designated representative

Responsibilities

1) Trial Production and Design
- Manage and organize customer data through efficient sending, receiving, editing, and archiving.
- Implement Design Rule Checks (DRC) and handle system registration.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and respond to customer feedback.
- Create and optimize product drawings, and secure customer approval.
- Develop, update, and oversee design and manufacturing data.
- Generate and manage tool data.
- Produce data for process checks.
- Establish product specifications, set up process flows, and register systems.
- Summarize the settings for manufacturing conditions.
- Review prototype development results in collaboration with relevant divisions.
- Summarize the outcomes of quality confirmations.
- Manage the transition of prototype production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams.

2) Standardization and Operations
- Develop, standardize, and validate input and design guidelines.
- Establish and standardize operational flow rules.
- Formulate and standardize correction rules and policies.
- Oversee the training and development of design engineers.

3) Roadmap Development
- Conduct research on customer and industry technology trends.
- Develop a forward-looking technology roadmap.
- Summarize and guide development initiatives through ongoing research and innovation.

4) Customer Relations
- Act as the primary technical contact for customer inquiries.
- Conduct regular meetings to understand and address customer needs effectively.

Requirement

Requirements & Preferences


- At least a Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the backend-semiconductor process.
- More than 5 years of managerial experience.
- Experience creating CAD/CAM, specifications, and drawings
- Experience creating CAD/CAM, specifications, and drawings
- Experience with measurement, analysis and reliability assessment tools.
- Basic knowledge of substrate manufacturing process.
