Key responsibilities
Product Development
To support the development of new beverage applications to support customers and work on assigned projects with supervision.
Create new and innovative beverage products for beverage application; such as Dairy Beverages, Refreshing beverages, Juice based products, Energy Drinks, CSD or NCB with or without thermal process and preservation systems.
To support development of products utilizing our Taste and Applied Health and Nutrition Ingredients and various technologies in application and assess its stability and suitability in meeting customer needs.
Product Portfolio and Collection.
Product Portfolio and Collection
Understands of the Taste portfolio relevant to the applications within the respective Beverage EUM.
Be aware of the collection library and able to propose collection to internal and external customers.
Provides input for the definition of Taste collection needs and gaps.
Cross Function Support
Works with various RDA technology, to evaluate product performance into beverage application.
Links with other application groups to cross share knowledge.
Provides applications support to sales for collection promotions or tailored made products.
Ability to work with the RDA analytical and sensory teams.
Ability to work with Operation, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain etc. on product commercialization.
Close relation with commercial teams to help develop key customer strategy and support the engagement.
Work together with a cross functional team to develop integrated beverage solutions across all category.
Laboratory Maintenance
Follows Best Laboratory Practices and established procedures in relation to laboratory maintenance and stock control.
Sensory Evaluation
Manage sensory evaluation of beverage applications for internal team evaluation.
Accountable to evaluate, with sales, the collection flavours for the country.
Conduct sensory evaluation for product development, product stability etc.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelors Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related Applied Science.
Minimum 5 years in Beverage R&D product development within Flavour industry or/and Beverage processors
Specialized in beverage flavor applications.
Experience in managing both internal and external relationships, including Commercial/Sales teams, General Management, and Customers.
Sensory Skills: Ability to taste and smell flavors and food products.
Visual Skills: Ability to assess beverage colors and degrees of turbidity.
Proficiency in formulating products with flavor technology.
Strong understanding of low-calorie sweeteners, modulations, and nutritional beverage ingredients.
In-depth knowledge of various flavor types and their applications, beverage emulsions, stabilities, and thermal and commercialization processes.
Understanding the interaction of taste products within the food matrix and the impact of processing.
Extensive knowledge of application and processing at the customer level.
Comprehensive understanding of beverage equipment and industry standards for beverage products and processes.
