The primary objective of RBI Engineer is to facilitate RBI workshops and ensuring the completeness and quality of RBI studies that develop into effective inspection schedules.
Whats the role
The RBI Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Support Inspection Engineers & Materials Corrosion Engineers (MCE) in creating / editing / deleting Floc, Corrosion Loop, Equipment, Circuits, Components, Schedules, Equipment Specifications, Equipment Condition History (ECH), Corrosion Monitoring Locations (CML), Measurement Points (MP) in WIMS.
Perform regular scheduled RBI health checks from RBI dashboard and communicate gaps with relevant MCE.
Develop/maintain a site wide RBI assessment 5-10-year plan.
Draft the premise of RBI Reassessment ToR and communicate to stakeholders after final approval of Asset Integrity Manager.
Coordinate and align the commitment and expectations of the RBI team with the respective leads and send out meeting invites for RBI discussions to all RBI team.
Communicate the RBI study plan to stakeholders and obtain assurance of resource availability.
Conduct RBI awareness training to all stakeholders (if required) & nominated personnel participating in the RBI reassessment.
Assist MCE in coloured Piping Equipment Flow Scheme (PEFS) mark up.
Assist MCE to create CCD (Corrosion Control Document)
Provide advice to the team on RBI reassessment that was executed previously if necessary.
Equipment Corrosion Circuits: Consolidate and provide an exported list of missing circuits (from IMS) for the Inspection Engineer to create.
Attain updated corrosion-orientated Process description for each corrosion loop and at Unit level from Technologist in the planning stage of RBI workshop.
Assist MCE in assessing the preliminary StF (Susceptibility to Failure) results.
Lead and facilitate all RBI workshop discussions.
Record agreed analysis for RBI consequences and StF during workshop discussion.
Record and collate all significant findings and action items from the team during discussion and follow up with each discipline. Assist the team in attaining information when necessary.
Compile a list of recommended changes that may affect operations or maintenance procedures discussed during workshop for the MCE and Inspection Engineer to follow up.
Finalize RBI results and assist MCE to communicate to all stakeholders and obtain approval of results & plan from PUM (Production Unit Mngr.).
Assist to link schedule to RBI components in agreement with MCE and Inspection Engineer
Collate all MTO (Manage Threats & Opportunities Shell tool for tracking actions for threat mitigation/opportunity realisation) discussed during workshop and handover to Inspection Engineer for further actions.
Compile the list of Lesson Learned that was discussed during workshop, at Corrosion Loop Level to Unit Level.
Compile and record changes and amendment in the RBI procedure and revise the sites internal RBI document accordingly
What we need from you
The successful candidate will have the following:
3 - 5yrs Inspection/Material Corrosion engineering experience in Energy industry.
Must possess recognised RBI training (e.g. API 580) and demonstrate knowledge/experience of the RBI methodology
Minimum Intermediate use of Excel.
Advanced formulas and functions e.g. VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP-Concatenate Relation
Creating charts and graphs
Data tables (PIVOT) and what-if analysis
Making use of the Formula tab and Functions library
Using formulas to manipulate basic data
Can collaborate and work with many others to receive, retrieve data to produce RBI outcomes.
Has attention-to-detail; recognising accuracy (and inaccuracies) while analysing, retrieving and explaining data.
Can identify problems, analysis, trending/grouping and developing potential theories/solutions.
Has the ability to find, organise, analyse and present relevant information about a specific subject.
