Red Hat Linux/Unix System Engineer (On Cloud)

Plan, execute, monitor and control the various technical aspect of the project.

. Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.

. Responsible for supporting operational systems satisfying contractual Service Level Agreement

. Perform and manage routine preventive maintenance and operational activities

. Provide project documentation and reports

. Diagnose and rectify technical issue

. Managing and Operating Red Hat Linux, Windows VM Infrastructure

o Installation/Configuration/Hardening/Maintenance/Patching

o Maintain System Security

o Advanced Troubleshooting

o Performance Tuning

o Capacity Management

o Preventive/Proactive Support

o Incident/Change/Problem Management

o Provide system administration support and guidance for development team's app configuration tasks

o Veritas Clustering Setup on RHEL VM would be added advantage

o Chef Automation would be added advantage

o AWS EC2 maintenance

. Managing and Operating VMware vSphere IT infrastructure

Other IT Infrastructure Related Tasks

. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Administration

. Professional understanding of networking related to RHEL and Windows

. Professional understanding of SAN Storage related to RHEL and Windows

. AWS Certified Solution Architect will be an advantage

. Good understanding of large Data Center Facilities operation

. Hands-On experience supporting various Infrastructure agents like NetBackup

. (Mid-Level) vSphere 7.x.

. Cross-team collaboration with storage, network, security and application delivery

. Technical leadership quality to handle technical challenge and sensitive situations

. Integrate the server automation process either by custom scripts or via third-party solutions(Ansible)

. Candidate should have the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve user issues and support them through telephone, email, or via chat services as applicable

. Strong communications skills

. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

Candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Red Hat Linux (On Cloud) preferred.

Candidates with some work experience and possess exposures/ knowledge in Red Hat Linux (On Cloud) are welcome too.
