Job Description

Our client, a globally recognized consulting firm, is setting up its cybersecurity practice in Asia and is seeking a visionary and strategic Cybersecurity Lead to set up this new practice.

You will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the practice across Asia, providing strategic cybersecurity guidance and advisory services to clients.

In this client-facing role, you will be a cybersecurity generalist, well-versed in all major pillars of cybersecurity-including governance, risk management, compliance, incident response, threat intelligence, and secure architecture. You will have a deep understanding of the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in the cybersecurity landscape.

This role is not P&L-focused but will require a strong commitment to client relationship management and business development, as you will identify and target high-priority clients across diverse industries, providing them with insightful and impactful cybersecurity strategies. You will also be responsible for building and mentoring a team of cybersecurity professionals to support the practice's growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice Leadership & Development: Lead the development and growth of the cybersecurity practice in Asia. Shape the team structure, create service offerings, and develop go-to-market strategies in alignment with global standards.
  • Client Engagement & Strategic Advisory: Engage directly with senior stakeholders at client organizations to provide strategic cybersecurity advisory services. Understand their challenges and provide solutions across all cybersecurity domains, tailored to their needs.
  • Regulatory Knowledge & Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, regulatory requirements (such as PDPA, GDPR, and MAS TRM), and evolving threats. Guide clients in aligning their cybersecurity programs to meet compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture to deliver outstanding client results.
  • Business Development: Identify potential clients in need of cybersecurity services, establish relationships, and position the firm as a trusted advisor in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the firm in industry forums, publish thought leadership articles, and contribute to the firm's overall cybersecurity expertise.

Why Apply

This is an exceptional opportunity to build a cybersecurity practice from the ground up in one of the world's most dynamic regions. You'll play a key role in shaping the firm's cybersecurity offering in Asia, influence the cybersecurity strategies of major clients, and make a tangible impact on the security landscape across multiple industries.
