We are currently recruiting for a Regional Ocean Procurement Lead to join our Procurement team. You will be responsible for securing the services necessary to support STC's customers at the most competitive cost.

Stolt Tank Containers (STC) is a leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk- liquid chemicals and food-grade products. With a fleet of more than 50,000 tank containers, STC is the only operator with its own worldwide network of 22 owned and joint venture depots. What you will be doing

As a Regional Ocean Procurement Lead, you will work closely together with the rest of the procurement team and the business ensuring an unbeatable regional procurement platform. In addition, developing and maintaining supplier relationships are key in this role ensuring STC has the best supplier network in the region.

Job Responsibilities

Owning and executing the regional ocean strategy.
Constantly benchmark the market to ensure unbeatable costs in the region.
Creating and owning procurement frameworks on contract negotiations, periodic business reviews, and cross-departmental interactions with suppliers.
Understand and constantly research macro and micro trends that could impact the ocean strategy, service levels, and cost base in the region.
Maintain a constant feedback loop with small spend markets to ensure standardization and spend control in these markets.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
Inform and share knowledge with the business on market trends and cost developments
Be a champion for sustainability within the region for the ocean category

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or on the job experience over 10 years
At least 5 years freight procurement
Tender management and contract negotiation required
Experience with tendering, procurement, and freight platforms
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to be diplomatic and maintain a neutral approach in contentious situations
Must be a champion for innovation within STC
Must be energetic, independent a self-starter and able to determine and define priorities
Must be ethical, organized, prepared, detail oriented and have international experience and an awareness of different cultures

A full-time and permanent role
Working hours: 5 days work week (Monday Friday), 9am to
  • 30pm
